Jeffrey Jacob

Jeff Jacob is an Assistant Comptroller for Illinois State University (ISU) where he was the recipient of the Civil Service Distinguished Service award in 2019.  In this role, Jeff oversees the University’s payroll and tax operations.

He is a member of the Payroll Org (PAYO) and presently serves as a co-chair of the Strategic Payroll Leadership Task Force (SPLTF) for Higher Education and is a member of the SPLTF for Best Practices. He speaks regularly at the PAYO’s Educational Institutions Payroll Conference (EIPC).

Jeff possesses a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Northern Iowa and a M.S. in College Student Personnel Administration from the University of Central Missouri.  He obtained is CPA designation in 2000 and his CPP designation in 2016.
